Imogen is a Kia Haumaru Personal Safety Education kaiako walking the length of Aotearoa to raise funds for and awareness of Kia Haumaru. She writes:
"I am walking Te Araroa to raise funds for and awareness of Kia Haumaru – Personal Safety Education, which works to promote a safe and respectful society free from violence against girls, women and members of the LGBTQIA+ community in Aotearoa. This small but powerful organisation makes a huge difference to people's lives, and I am proud to be part of it.
"Walking the length of the country, from Bluff/Motupōhue to Cape Rēinga/Te Rerenga Wairua, is also a personal challenge to myself and an opportunity to explore this beautiful country."
All funds raised will go towards providing personal safety education courses to girls, women and persons of marginalised gender identities across Aotearoa!
